Blue Gal posted a comment over there. The article is well written, but Blue Gal feels that Christianity would not be such an offense to thinking people if Christians (and Blue Gal considers herself one) would STFU and obey the Sermon on the Mount. Ya know, love your neighbor, help the poor, if you have to pray go into a closet 'cause God hears you there, you don't need to advertise, etc. Jesus was a radical working man from hillbilly country. We really have forgotten that, more's the pity.

Couldn't agree more, BG, but from the non-christian p-o-v, silence is viewed as complicity. When the righteous christians don't speak up and tell the fuck-heads like Pat Robertson et al to close their pie holes, we lose our patience. And when we lose our patience, we also lose our tolerance of the more superstitious aspects of christianity. You can substitute 'religion' for christianity -- don't mean to single out christians. ;-)
